Whalechip Selects Arteris FlexNoC 5 for Near-Memory Computing ASIC

Arteris FlexNoC 5 network-on-chip interconnect IP supports Whalechip’s custom ASIC development for advanced near-memory computing architecture.

Whalechip has selected Arteris’ FlexNoC 5 network-on-chip (NoC) interconnect IP for the development of a custom ASIC designed to enable advanced near-memory computing (NMC) architecture.

As AI and high-performance computing applications continue to drive greater computational demands, memory access has become an increasingly important factor in overall system performance and efficiency. Whalechip is advancing custom ASIC and system-level solutions designed to address these challenges and support next-generation computing architectures.

By integrating Arteris’ physically aware FlexNoC 5 technology, Whalechip aims to enhance on-chip connectivity while optimizing performance, power consumption, and die area for complex SoC designs.
